The students of Grades 1 and 2 embarked on an enlightening journey, marking the commencement of the Special Week ‘Green Footprints’ from April 21 to April 25, 2025. They gained a comprehensive understanding of the 5 R's—Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Refuse, and Repurpose and their role in reducing the environmental impact of single-use plastics, wrappers, and other waste materials. The students were introduced to the concept of waste management through hands-on experience with colour-coded dustbins, which provided them with a practical understanding of the different methods of waste disposal. Culminating the week-long initiative, the students took an oath to conserve water. This experience successfully instilled a sense of responsibility and sustainability among the young learners, empowering them to become conscious citizens.
